I have to say I loved the place, the grounds are amazing, the building is old and beautiful. It's truly lovely. The room was comfortable, but we needed to keep the window open to get some air flow. Toilet seat was odd. The evening manager was so helpful, what a hard worker, we found him doing all sorts of jobs. He paid attention to the guests needs while juggling many jobs. He made a call for us for food delivery since they're renovating the restaurant, just a kind and thoughtful thing to help us. Breakfast was excellent! This is a beautiful old hotel; I loved it.

This hotel provided everything we needed for an overnight stay. Clean bathrooms, spacious rooms, a great breakfast and beautiful grounds for the little ones to stretch their legs. We used the pool and spa facilities twice during our stay and the kids loved it. Every member of staff that we spoke to were very friendly and helpful. Perfect location for Funtasia and Emerald Park, we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely 2 day stay at the Boyne Valley Hotel, room was fantastic, staff were very helpful and breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely rebook if we were back in Ireland.

Very nice room and friendly, helpful staff. It is a shame that it is B&B only, but the pub that is a short walk away is very good. I would have liked better quality tea/coffee products in the room e.g. good quality coffee bags and the option to have fresh milk (I am sure I would have been given some if I had asked!).The bar is not a particularly pleasant environment especially for a person travelling on their own. I got myself a drink on one evening and then took it to my room!

Hi my husband and I stayed for 2 nights. Our stay on the whole was good. The hotel has a beautiful setting with large gardens to look out on. It is situated away from the town centre and you would need a taxi if going out for the evening. The hotel has a traditional look and feel to its interior in the common areas but our bedroom was a little more quirky in its decor ie tiger print tiles in the bathroom and leopard print armchairs in the bedroom. Some areas did look a little tired ie entrance up steps into hotel and some of the fixtures and fittings. The kitchen was only available for breakfasts, but on whole they were good but maybe could have had a bit more variety. No evening meals were on offer but you could bring take away food into the hotel and eat in the lounge area. I think possibly this all was due to doing some refurbishment in the kitchens. On arrival the staff at reception over the both days were very welcoming and polite and nothing was any trouble when we had a query etc. Equally the staff in the breakfast room and the bar were polite and provided a good service. Would I stay here again? Yes I would for a couple of nites.

Overall a nice stay! Some things that can be added to make guest stays that much better: - Add some benches, tables, and comfortable park benches with backrests to the expansive backyard. It's such a pristine place to sit down and relax for a bit, read a book, enjoy the sunset, etc. I was surprised to see that there were no benches anywhere. - To the card-activated light switch near the room door, a brief line saying so would have made it much more clear what it's for. Something like: "Insert card to activate lights." Initially I didn't know why the lights didn't work at all when entering.

A wonderful hotel with spacious rooms, wonderful staff, and luscious gardens. The swimming pool, gym, and spa are excellent, albeit open to local members. The 'country cub' in the name raises the expectations beyond what is offered, but nevertheless an excellent hotel.

I would so tell my family and friends that the Boyne Valley is so worth stay at. Yes it's bed and breakfast but the swimming pool and spa is so worth a visit. I'm looking forward to staying again. Lovely staff, great breakfast. ?

A lovely place,I had visited many years before and loved it. It has beautiful grounds for a morning or after dinner walk and a pub for an evening night cap. Nice breakfast! I didn’t use the club or pool but would consider returning for a longer stay. The staff was kind and helpful. Thank you! Cynthia Fallon, USA

Very comfortable and pleasant room,with all the comfort of a five star hotel ,the buffet breakfast was perfect,set us up for our journey home

Amazing property and the staff was incredibly accommodating and the spa was so fun and awesome for the kids. Great location for Newgrange and spacious and luxury place to stay outside of Dublin.

Only an overnight stay to attend a local function but as an elderly couple we were very impressed by friendly staff, clean, large ground floor room overlooking beautiful gardens and an excellent buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Room perfect. Breakfast not great. Stayed 2 nights and arrived at 0940 for breakfast on day 1. Hot food not available in full. Day 2 arrived much earlier and again hot food not available in full and had to wait for bacon etc.

The hotel was clean and very comfortable. It is a convenient spot to stay while visiting Newgrange. The reopening of the restaurant will add to the hotel’s appeal.
